Natural Family Planning:

St. Joseph’s Hospital, Highland, along with the Diocese of Springfield, is pleased to offer classes in Natural Family Planning.  Natural Family Planning refers to natural methods for achieving and avoiding pregnancy.  No drugs, devices or surgical procedures are used to avoid pregnancy.  Patrick O’Toole, Director of the Diocese’ Office for Marriage and Family Life and his wife, Daniele, teach the class.

The first class is October 21, 2008 from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. in Jehle Hall at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Highland. Follow up is provided as needed with Mr. and Mrs. O’Toole.

The cost is $40/couple or individual.  Your health insurance may pay for this.

Look Good, Feel Better:

St. Joseph’s Hospital, Highland, in association with the American Cancer Society, is pleased to host “Look Good, Feel Better” for women with any form of cancer.  Look Good, Feel Better is an opportunity for women  with cancer to learn how the treatments for cancer change their skin, learn how to care for their skin, learn to wear make-up while undergoing cancer treatment, and allow St. Josephs’ Hospital and the American Cancer society to provide you with two hours of pampering, laughter, and fellowship.

Our first session is Monday, October 27, 2008 in the New Board Room, Jehle Hall, St. Joseph’s Hospital.  There is no cost to you.  Class size is limited to 8 women.  St. Joseph’s Friends Van is available to transport you or your loved one to and from the class.  To enroll, please call Laura Foerster, RN, Director of Community Health Outreach at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Highland.
